Tagua is a seed from the Phyelephas Macrocarpa palm tree that grows in the tropical rain forests of South America. Chemically the Tagua Seed is pure cellulose and has a very closed cell structure.
When the ripe fruits fall to the ground the seeds are gathered and dried for up to a period of 2 years. The seeds have a dark skin which is mechanically removed before grinding into the desired specification.
